Job Description
 
This nationwide industry leader has an immediate 6+ month contract opportunity in Plano, TX for an Integration Engineer.  This Integration Engineer is needed to deliver Enterprise level reusable services for current and future initiatives.
Responsibilities include:    

 
  • Identifying integration design details and ensuring that deliverables will meet all service level requirements.
  • Developing broad technical "ecosystem” knowledge for multiple platforms to ensure services meet business requirements and overall quality standards.
  • Ensuring services are built to reflect business events rather than system APIs.
  • Assisting QA teams with test automation, performance testing/tuning, and lower environment test configurations.
  • Contributing to the creation and maintenance of Service Contracts and Service Catalog.
  • Assisting cross-functional resources to identify root cause of system and operational issues, analyze data and recommend solutions.
 
This position requires:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum (8) years' experience in a variety of internal and external cross-platform integrations.
  • Minimum (5) years' experience in solutions/software development.
  • Deep understanding of REST/JSON, SOAP/XML, and custom APIs.
  • Familiarity with mobile device communication aspects.
  • Familiarity with EDI X12 inventory related transaction sets.
  • Experience with the following domain areas are helpful: 

o    Working experience with Mule ESB and/or MuleSoft CloudHub;
o    Business acumen in Retail, Finance, and Inventory Management;
o    Design/modeling tools, prototyping, and data modeling;
o    OO development, Java/C#, Linux shells/scripting, SQL;
o    Data processing, batch, multiplatform, sensitive data, high availability, recovery, queues, exception management;
o    High performance highly available large scale systems and tuning;
o    Negative testing approaches;
o    Off-premises AWS compute services (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS);

 
  • Able to multi-task with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, independent, resourceful and a demonstrated leader who is capable of being objective and giving/taking constructive feedback.  
  • Experienced and skilled user of office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written) and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of leadership and subject matter experts.
