Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with vendors to understand platform needs
  • Coordinate with the platform team to indicate needs of the vendor and work with them to ensure the vendor gets them
  • Will work with the Project Manager to provide dates for activities to be done and status.
  • This role is a very tactical role to ensure the vendors, platform and project team has what they need to meet the goals and milestones for the project
  • This person ideally would have Big Data platform knowledge, understands analytics and data set availability and security
  • Conducts interviews with IT staff, business units, management, and other stakeholders to gain insight on current state of processes
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), iii. Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs)
  • Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to document data flows and data management steps.
  • Models "as-is” and "to-be” business processes using workflow and process engines; documents gap analyses; diagrams system architecture
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
Required Skills:
  • 6+ years of experience managing small to medium-scale business analysis work or projects with distinct deliverables to a solution; Candidate is able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
  • 6+ years of experience writing technical/business specification for complex applications.
  • Tech savvy individual who is familiar with data fundamentals & latest technology tools.
  • 3+ Years with Hands-on desktop application support and troubleshooting.
  • Experience installing and configuring Database connections (Oracle, SQLSERVER, HIVE, Impala, Denodo, etc.) via JDBC and ODBC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Experience accessing data in Hadoop Ecosystems (Cloudera 5.9)
  • Experience working with regulatory changes impacting the content of requirement documents and ensuring that changes are completed and that the automatic generation of the application continues.
