Job Description:

The Network Infrastructure Administrator will be responsible for the overall maintenance and health of our 70+ servers in both pre-production and production environments. The resource will be a member of a growing development team and assist in upgrading, troubleshooting, monitoring, reporting and overall improvement of the infrastructure and its components.
 
We are looking for high quality resources with network/system administration experience in Linux. You should have experience in troubleshooting, scripting and monitoring tools. Excellent communication and analytical skills will be required to be successful in this fast and dynamic environment.
 
Must Have for the Position
            o   Ten or more years systems administration in a Linux environment
            o   Strong Experience with CentOS and RedHat Enterprise Linux (version 5.6
                 or more)
 
•          Has familiarity working in a Cloud environment
•          Is capable of troubleshooting server or VM issues and monitoring applications
•          Can deploy applications and has extensive experience with scripting tools and
            technologies
•          Can write automation scripts for a variety of administrative functions
 
Familiarity with at least one monitoring/logging tool (e.g. Splunk, OP5, Nagios or DynaTrace)
 
Experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, Perl or Bash)
 
Experience with git/svn/cvs and software deployment tools (Capistrano, Fabric, etc.)
 
Possess strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complex problems
 
Ability to work with teams in a dynamic, fast paced environment
            o   Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
 
Nice to have
            o   At least 2-3 years of experience with Agile Scrum practices, concepts and
                 procedures
            o   Experience in the Telecommunications Industry or Access Network
                 technologies
            o   Exceptional written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work independently and works extremely well in an Agile/SCRUM team
  • Possesses a positive attitude, is detail oriented, and communicates status on a regular basis.
  • Has the ability to balance competing priorities in a very dynamic/fast-paced environment.
 
What you will be doing
  • Manage all deployments, setup infrastructure, support testing and troubleshooting for various components
  • Automate applicable processes and deployments
                        o   Ability to create and maintain policies, standards and overall system
                             documentation
  • Display initiative in improving the ecosystem
  • Work closely with developers, testers and other administrators as part of a larger team
 
            o   Troubleshooting errors with proprietary and open source applications in     
                 production and pre-production environments
            o   Working with development teams to further operationalize applications
                 with a focus on repeatability, redundancy and scalability
            o   Monitor the health and status of systems under management
