Daily Responsibilities:
  • Provide production support on exiting systems.
  • Performs analysis, writes program maintenance documentation, codes changes, unit test changes, setup and monitor Integration testing.
  • Meet with user community as required to facilitate requirements gathering and documentation of requirements.
  • Creates and maintains PROCS, Prose, JCL, etc. as required.
  • Attend team meetings, produces status reports, updates and maintains assignments in issue tracking database (JIRA). Follows SDLC.
Job Description:
  • IT Billing Payment processing team in Macon is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Programmer Analyst with mainframe experience using CICS, COBOL, DB2, Endeavor and JCL.
  • This team supports a variety of high profile financial/revenue applications including both mainframe and server platforms.
  • Systems include Receipts, Returns, and Settlement processing.
  • This team works with banking organizations to ensure proper real-time communication of card approvals occur, daily payments are posted and settled in a timely manner, and handles processes for recurring payment methods for both EFT and RCC.
  • The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be results oriented and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • A strong knowledge of the software development life cycle is a must as well as critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving skills.
  • Candidate must be able to translate user requirements into detailed system requirements, and produce well-defined design deliverables and software.
  • Must be willing to contribute as a team player, provide 24/7 production support on a rotating basis and multi-task.
  • Knowledge and experience with Web Services, .NET and SQL Server skills are a plus. Shows an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • 5+ years programming experience on integrated applications.
  • Strong CICS, DB2, COBOL, JCL technical skills.
  • Solid experience with related development tools including ENDEVOR and TSO.
  • Strong analysis skills for problem solving as well as for creation of project artifacts.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of the project and software development life-cycle, from inception to implementation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to learn and understand new business systems and detailed business processes.
