Job Description:
  • Must have strong Analytic/Critical thinking skills – ability to understand what story the internal customer is trying to tell and create that story - through pulling data and creating reports. Work closely with those customers to develop and deliver the reports will most accurately bring to light the information they are looking for.
  • Strong Reporting, Documentation, and Data Analysis (able to gather requirements) - Strong ability to create/deliver reporting and dissect talking points for those customers in their presentations.Should have Advanced Excel skills (Strong with V-Look ups and Pivot tables, etc.) and proficient with Word, Excel, access, PowerPoint, visio.
  • Technical Skills: Must have strong SQL and SAS and/or SSRS/SSIS– We need resource to help check the code behind what the Analytic Consultants are doing. We are told we can only use SAS for Adhoc reporting now, and Not day to day production reporting.We will eventually have to convert the SAS reports into SQL- specifically SSIS...so would like these resources to help with this too.
  • Business Consulting Skills:able to speak to the business process. Must have experience interacting business and providing solutions and creating presentations for them. This is a reporting and analytics group. They do code every day in SQL and SAS/SSIS/SSRS (so candidates need to want to do this) – and they do need someone who can understand the logic of why/what data to pull and can understand how data is.Need someone that can tell a story with large amounts of data.*Ideally the resource can immerse themselves in the business, understanding their need, take their feedback and then be a consultant to them by, helping them pull together data and put it into a report (into a story) and even coming to the table with recommendations based of the Analytics they find too.
  • Strong Communication & Presentation skills – Should be business Savvy and able to communicate effectively/build relationships with all Business partners.
