Our client is seeking a Project Manager lead the successful planning and execution of an Epic Bugsy implementation.
 
Description
The Project Manager will lead the successful planning and execution of Information Technology projects; the project you will be leading will be for an Epic Bugsy implementation.
 
Key Accountabilities:
Manage projects
  • Manages multiple projects of varying degrees of complexity and risk, ranging from medium to high, from inception to successful completion.   Possess advanced knowledge and understanding of and fully utilizes the enterprise project management methodology and standards.
Leads project Planning
  • Documents the scope and objectives of assigned projects.  With the support of the team and sponsors, develops a comprehensive and well planned method for fulfilling project scope and objectives.  Identifies skill sets, team roles and financial resources needed to accomplish project goals. Provides expertise in the development of reliable project resource estimates, project work plans, and timelines.  Demonstrates ability to interweave the impact of dependent projects and resource contention.  
Scope Management
  • Manages project scope throughout project, documenting and escalating for approval scope changes, in order to understand and plan for the impacts of the change.
Manages Project Team
  • Provides team leadership throughout the project. Oversight and management of team members, addressing team cohesion, conflict management, independent work, on time delivery, performance mentoring, motivation, and evaluation.  May function as lead project manager, mentoring and advising other project managers in their performance specific to management of major project components.
Project Communication
  • Communicates effectively with relevant project staff, business owners, stakeholders and executive sponsors.  Develops and executes project communication plans, specific to the project and appropriate for all levels of the organization.  
Meeting Facilitation
  • Utilizes advanced skills in meeting facilitation. Prepare for and lead project meetings, including team meetings, sponsor meetings, vendor meetings, etc.   Manages meetings, keeping on agenda and time, addressing attendee over or under participation, closes out meeting with topic summary and documented action items.  Distributes meeting minutes.
Manage risk and issues
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in the identification and management of risks and issues. With support of team, identifies tracks and develops solutions for issues and risks.  Escalates issues appropriately and timely. Develops contingency plans to mitigate issue and risk impact.  Utilizes a keen political sensitivity in response to risks and issues.  
Document
  • Either personally completes or manages through assigned project team the completion of detailed project documents as stipulated by the project management framework or identified during the project planning phase. Ensures project documents are accurate, complete, current and stored appropriately.
Quality
  • Assures project compliance with enterprise quality and testing standards and with change control procedures.  Prepares test plan, oversees test script creation and leads testing efforts, when a software quality analyst is not assigned to the project.
Vendor Management
  • Manages vendor relationship as it pertains to project planning and execution.  Coordinates with vendor management, all vendor project task completion and quality reviews.   Reviews and provides approval for vendor project related invoices.
  • Frequent contact with all levels of the organization, in the execution of projects, including IT Staff, front line staff, clinical staff, physicians, and organizational management up the C-suite level.
 
Required Skills:
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5 – 10 years of previous experience required.
  • Project Management Institute PMP Certification – 10 years of project management experience required in lieu of PMP certification.
  • Must have previous experience with Epic implementations; prior experience with an Epic Bugsy implementation would be a major plus.
  • Project Management in a HealthCare environment.
  • Information Services/Technology Experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
