Our client is seeking a Portfolio Intake Manager.
 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of project or development proposals including problem definition, evaluation or alternatives, cost/benefit analysis, action plans and documentation (reports, models, etc.).
  • Evaluates/researches business problems and their relationship to technology.
  • Daily interaction with Business Solution Partner or Business Solution Integrator to identify business work priorities and establish in-take demand.
  • Elicitation of Business Needs from Business Resources to create initial project assessments.
  • Facilitation of Opportunity Review and Solution Review meetings in order to clarify business needs and identify business and system impacts.
  • Finalization of impact assessments, inclusive of Business Needs, Benefits, Impacts, and associated Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) costs.
  • Facilitation of Transition Meeting of approved projects to Project Teams (PM, BSA, etc.).
  • Management of small project requests (i.e. IT enhancements) through project lifecycle.
  • Ability to use PMO Tools (Clarity, MS Suite, Excel) to create, update, track and manage enhancements and projects through different parts of the methodology.
  • Manage the overall initiation of an opportunity and/or enhancement including understanding the business issue, scope, capabilities, and overall business justification.
  • Facilitate pre-delivery of opportunities and enhancements including coordination of approvals, operational/system impacts, budget set-up, and transition to Project Team.
  • Resource has a basic understanding of key concepts and features of the subject matter. Reference industry or organizational usage or application of the subject matter. Resource is aware of major initiatives, key issues and benefits of the subject matter and knows how and where to obtain additional information. Works well under general supervision, as well as providing technical and analytical support to assigned position.

  • Possesses strong analytic skills with ability to breakdown high level business needs into lower level business requirements.
  • Ability to management multiple work assignments resolve issues, mitigate risks or escalate to management for guidance.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize workload on a daily basis and effectively identify cross-functional impacts, potential conflicts, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to handle detailed and complex situations and work with multiple project stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills; written (Email, PowerPoint, Requirement Document) and verbal (facilitate meetings with business owners and all project stakeholders).
  • Ability to support common goals, work independently and work within a team to be successful.
  • Capable of formulating and defining scope and objectives (high level business requirements) based on user needs and thorough understanding of business processes.
  • Vendor Management skills.
