Tailwind Associates, an EOE, has a 12 + months contract opportunity with our client in El Paso, Texas for a – PBM/HIE/SLR - Tech Architect

Job Description:

Candidate will have the responsibility to define the architecture, making sure team is following the defined architecture, making sure application is meeting SLAs and fixing the critical Performance or road blocking issues quickly.

Responsibilities/Requirements

  • 11+ years of experience in .NET Application development
    • 8+ years of strong progressive IT experience in the application development space
    • 3+ years of Architect experience
  • 8+ years of experience using T-SQL with very strong working knowledge of stored procedures, queries and joins
  • 8+ years of database design best practices, including normalization, query optimization, referential integrity and logical database architecture
  • 8+ years of .NET Framework and ability to work with C# and ASP.NET using Microsoft Visual Studio
  • 8+years of developing and maintaining solutions using SSRS and SSIS with SQL Server Management Studio
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, client-server architecture and relational database design
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly understand business requirements and transform user requirements into queried reports / stored procedure
  • To be a key technical consultant who will front end initial work of the development by interfacing with client and key stakeholders
  • Should have the working experience on large Enterprise Solutions
    • Experience in development of complex web-based, scalable, distributed systems and high-volume transaction applications
  • Experience in different software development methodologies such as agile, test driven development, model driven development etc.
  • Defining coding standards and guidelines
  • Doing POCs for the new implementations to guide the team
  • Work with the client Client/SMEs in providing the solutions to the challenges


Required Skills:
  • Hands-on Technical experience in:
    • .NET and SQL Server
    • ASP
    • Oracle 11g
  • Develop and maintain software systems using Microsoft .NET and SQL Server
  • Good understanding of Pharmacy (PBM) functionalities and flows
  • Understanding of HIE/HIX/SLR operations
  • Integration of PBM with MMIS and core functionalities or Medicaid
  • Diagnose and correct programming errors
  • Develop and maintain T-SQL Queries, Store Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views and other DB objects
  • ETL operations
  • Gather requirements, create technical design, document and implement solutions to satisfy business and development needs
  • Work with other team members on design of software systems
  • Create, maintain and develop documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to a non-technical audience
  • Exceptionally detail orientated and ability to cross-check work to user specifications
  • Proficient working independently - with little direction - and as a supportive team member
  • Accustomed to fast-paced environments with simultaneous, high-priority tasks
  • Strong leadership skills and technical aptitude that inspire team confidence and respect
    Highly fluent in multiple Web Service, WS-I standards, design pattern and technologies including: WCF, C#, .NET 4.0/4.5
  • Min. 10 years integration experience in a .NET environment
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with Enterprise Service Bus architecture (i.e. Azure) and messaging (AMQP) or equivalent
  • Familiarity with video conferencing including protocols such as SIP
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical and health industries including policy and regulatory requirements will be an asset
