Tailwind Associates, an EOE, has a 12 + months contract opportunity with our client in El Paso, Texas for a EDI Tech Lead

Job Description:

Candidate will have the responsibility of leading the team from technical and Function perspective. Gather and analyze the requirements, Design and guide the team in implementation and participate in implementation. Reviewing the implementation and making sure good quality of the code is delivered.


  • 7+ years of experience in Application development
  • 3+ years of Tech Lead role with responsibility for systems specification, application design & Development, performance tuning, and ensuring high quality
  • Ability to work effectively with business users and (or) Client to understand needs and priorities to deliver on time with quality
  • Should be having inclination towards designing and architecting the system
  • Actively participate in requirement gathering discussions
  • Code quality and Coding standards needs to be tracked and maintained
  • Team member's technical backup planning and ensuring no dependency on any developer
  • Good Estimation skills

Required Skills:
  • Hands-on Technical experience in:
    • Java – J2EE
    • EJBs, Web Services (good to have)
    • HTML 5
    • SOA
    • Oracle 11g
  • Develop complex data extracts, applications, and ad-hoc queries as requested by internal and external customers using SQL, SSIS, Informatica toolset (Powercenter, B2B with MFT)
    • Requests include custom flat files, EDI, user applications, and a significant focus on healthcare encounters and HIPAA X12 transactions: 837, 999, 277, 835, 278
  • Maintain the production Business Intelligence products and solutions, including resolving production issues and responding quickly to priority problems
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues impacting extract delivery.
  • Work closely with Business Systems Analysts to understand requirements regarding solutions, ensure data quality and match-back to core systems transaction results.
  • Collaborate on the definition, development, and maintenance of standards and processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation in BI solutions and processes.
  • Serve as mentoring resource for other developers.
