Tailwind Associates, an EOE, has a 12 + months contract opportunity with our client in El Paso, Texas for a PBM/SLR/HIE .NET Tech Lead

Job Description:
Candidate will have the responsibility of understanding the requirements, Analyze, design and implement. Developing unit test cases and executing and ensure high quality deliverables.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in .NET Application development with over all 8-9 years of IT experience.
  • 3+ years of Tech Lead role with responsibility for systems specification, application design & Development, performance tuning, and ensuring high quality
  • Ability to work effectively with business users and (or) Client to understand needs and priorities to deliver on time with quality
  • Should be having inclination towards designing and architecting the system
  • Actively participate in requirement gathering discussions
  • Code quality and Coding standards needs to be tracked and maintained
  • Team member's technical backup planning and ensuring no dependency on any developer
  • Good Estimation skills
  • 5+ years of experience using T-SQL with very strong working knowledge of stored procedures, queries and joins
  • 5+ years of database design best practices, including normalization, query optimization, referential integrity and logical database architecture
  • 5+ years of .NET Framework and ability to work with C# and ASP.NET using Microsoft Visual Studio
  • 5+years of developing and maintaining solutions using SSRS and SSIS with SQL Server Management Studio
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, client-server architecture and relational database design
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly understand business requirements and transform user requirements into queried reports / stored procedure

Required Skills:
  • Hands-on Technical experience in:
    • .NET and SQL Server
    • ASP
    • Oracle 11g
  • Experience with Java/Javascript, XML/XLST. Experience with Server Operating Systems (both Windows & Linux an advantage), Clustering and Load Balancing (an advantage).
  • Working experience in Java development and knowhow of working on relational databases
  • Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
  • Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
  • Strong experience with healthcare EDI transactions (X12), especially with the X12 837, 834, 835, 270/271, 276/277 messaging standards.
  • Good communication skills. EDI-X12 Developer will be required to bring an additional perspective to the team based on knowledge of the 37, 834, 835, 270/271, 276/277 standards and their proper use in Claims Management
  • Have worked on/ understand other messaging engines - IBM MQ, Active MQ etc.
  • Clear understanding & working knowledge of HIPAA EDI protocols
  • Able to generate HIPAA transactions using mapping application tool and data from claims system
  • Experience with MS SQL/Oracle Server or other relational database systems and EDI transmission protocols
  • Healthcare industry experience as it relates to risk adjustment, medical claims submissions, adjudication and payment, eligibility, etc.
  • Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)
  • Excellent know-how in developing web services (REST and SOAP)
  • ETL operations
  • Gather requirements, create technical design, document and implement solutions to satisfy business and development needs
  • Work with other team members on design of software systems
  • Create, maintain and develop documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to a non-technical audience
  • Exceptionally detail orientated and ability to cross-check work to user specifications
  • Proficient working independently - with little direction - and as a supportive team member
  • Accustomed to fast-paced environments with simultaneous, high-priority tasks
  • Can perform in a dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to work on multiple projects at any time
