Tailwind Associates, an EOE, has a full time opportunity with our client in Albany, NY Senior Systems Engineer.

Job Description:
As a member of Platform Engineering team, the Platform Orchestration and Automation Engineer will be the primary interface to the Application Development and Infrastructure teams to provide daily support aligned with a model of Continuous Delivery, promoting a culture through building relationships with Development & Operations and driving enhancements to the end-to-end release process. The Platform Orchestration and Automation Engineer will focus on overall system health, compliance to release (both custom and COTS) and alignment to security standard and our client's stated expectation of health. The Platform Orchestration and Automation Engineer will be a primary interface to the project management teams, as well as the engineering staff, ensuring completion of planned efforts. In doing so, the Platform Orchestration and Automation Engineer develops and maintains relationships with other technology teams and internal business partners, striving for a high level of quality for all systems within his or her scope. The Platform Orchestration and Automation Engineer works closely with vendors and other external partners as needed, and participates in organizational disaster recovery exercises and tests as scheduled

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or other relevant discipline required. Significant work experience may be considered in place of degree requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience managing enterprise delivery platforms such as Cognos, Tableau Server, IIS, MuleSoft, TomEE, Websphere, Stepwise, Jenkins, UDeploy, Microsoft Identity Manager, PingFederate, PingIdentity.
  • 3-5 years' experience with automation and instrumentation tools is required such as Opsview, CFEngine, Sumo Logic, ELK and Service Now.
  • 3-5 years' of enterprise application deployment/maintenance experience required (Java preferred).
  • Experience designing, implementing and supporting information technology systems within assigned discipline is required.
  • Understanding and management of the SSL Certificates, including interfacing with Asset Management to ensure continuous compliance and availability.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are required.
  • HMO or health related industry preferred.
