 As one of the firms' Business Information Architect (BIA), you will communicate and engage with business product areas as well as many areas of business technology (systems) including but not limited to Data Governance, Data Architects, Data Modelers and Data Reporting and BI Specialist to develop a strong understanding of the data, as it relates to their product needs and how it will be used and surfaced. This position will work with various business / product teams to define requirements for projects and use cases, identify data dependencies, temporal characteristics and relationships to develop logical and physical data models, create data flow and system activity diagrams, and write specifications for managing information that conforms to the product, department and enterprise standards. The BIA will develop plans and materials to support implementation including but not limited to User Acceptance, user adoption, and training, working through direct and regular contact with product owners and users to provide regular insight and guidance in prioritizing enhancements to and using the data architecture, models and ensuring governance.   The BIA will also support business and technical project managers to ensure that all aspects of the information analysis and requirements gathering process are completed according to the SDLC ensuring the highest degree of accuracy, completeness, and quality, including developing and socializing key project artifacts.  
Additionally, you will be expected to:  
• Implement rollout plans for data functionality and reporting tools, which involves training end users and helping secure the ongoing buy-in and use of the system.  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) linking functions in business use/needs with master data management, metadata management, data architecture and data governance operations.  • Develop key documentation, user and, in conjunction with systems, technical guides, and other necessary training and BAU support materials.  • Support a broad base of users of the data and reporting platforms, ensuring relationships with customers and cross-team members are professional and meet management expectations.  • Coordinate change controls for the platform in support of the platform manager and  Change Control Process.  • Solve complex data-related problems using a variety of technical and analytical skills as well as user and product SME's. • Ensure the importance of SDLC and Data Governance principles are not bypassed to produce a quicker result resulting in an inferior product. 
Qualifications 
• More than 6-8 years of experience managing product and enterprise-wide data.  • Bachelor's degree in a related course of study.  • Familiarity with up to date data protocols, processes and tools  • Understanding of data governance, modeling, architecture and mapping.  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.  • Significant knowledge and experience in managing and executing data management initiatives.  

 • Understanding of business process modeling, data provisioning modeling, entity relationship modeling, and dimensional modeling.  • Experience in project management and change management.  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and on budget.  • Experience with financial services related data.  • Understanding of source-to-target documents, use case and activity diagrams, and use case specifications.  • Working knowledge of database management system (DBMS) client software, i.e. MS SQL, Oracle (TOAD), and MySQL.  • Mastery of data management concepts and best practices specifically for financial services • Strong ability to explain advanced data concepts to both database developers and architects, non-technical end users, and senior executives.  • Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.  • Experience developing requirements for business intelligence (BI), master data management, and functional data projects.  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.  • Demonstrated high competency in balancing multiple projects.  • Strong verbal and written skills.  • Experience in process analysis and documentation
