 Position Overview:
This position is for an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst with effective communication skills.  The successful candidate will have experience working in an Agile environment.  As a liaison across business users and technical resources this role will be expected to perform analysis for developing solutions, modifications, assist with integrations and provide support for new and existing applications.  The Senior Business Analyst role will primarily support the performance measurement and attribution group .  This is an exceptional opportunity to help build our future state business architecture and to support and expand the firm's performance and attribution capabilities.  This is an influential role in the evolution of the Agile process adapted by the company. The Senior Business Analyst reports to the IT Senior Business Architect and is a member of the Information Technology team.
  • Function as a liaison between multiple groups: Performance Measurement & Attribution, Client Services, Operations and Information Technology
  • Perform business analysis and contribute to the delivery of functions and systems required to successfully move forward the performance measurement and attribution strategy.
  • Perform story creation and develop acceptance criteria as an agile team member assigned to projects directly impacting the performance measurement and attribution business group.
  • Perform support analysis for reported issues.
  • Work with the project team to perform bi-directional integration with security master, index and accounting systems data that interface with the performance measurement and attribution functions and applications.
  • Define business workflows to support the integration into the performance calculation process for multi-asset classes including but not limited to ETFs, Futures, Options, Structured Notes, FX, Total Return Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps and Volatility Swaps.
  • Perform data analysis, define data governance and quality checks, and define process controls.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree; CFA or CIPM preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in the asset management business, ideally with buy-side focus.
  • Strong knowledge of Performance Measurement and Attribution concepts, calculations and data integration needs.
  • Experience implementing and integrating middle and back office functions with Accounting systems/providers (SS&C GlobeOps / Advent Geneva preferred) and Performance Measurement & Attribution systems  (BISam preferred)
  • Experience delivering software as part of an agile delivery team.
  • SQL and/or scripting skills desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise data management and business process modeling
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills; Strong written and verbal communications skills
