Software Engineer (Backend Developer)

Position Summary:
The Software Engineer will support development of mission critical systems that manage access to all SXM digital properties and provide content protection for SXM content delivered over the Internet. The Software Engineer will work with internal departments as well as 3rd party vendors in all aspects of the SDLC.
This is primarily a Linux/Java/Spring/LDAP position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Involved in maintaining current Framework codebase
• Design, develop and support new identity and access management functionality
• Implement software fixes for existing systems
• Attend routine Change Request meetings and assist in "triaging” bugs and requests
• Work with Operations during software deployment
• Provide Tier 3 support as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
• BS in Engineering or Information Systems and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• 5 + years' experience in architecting, designing & developing software solutions
• 5 + years' experience in Core Java Programming
• 3 + years' experience Version Control Tools – (Git, SVN)
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle and Configuration Management methodologies
• In-depth knowledge with in a Linux environment
• 5 + years' experience in Core Java Programming
• 3 + years' experience with Version Control Tools – (Git, SVN)
• 3 + years' experience with the Spring 3.0 & 4 framework
• 3 + years' LDAP
• 5 + years' experience web services – Rest, SOAP, HTTP
• Comprehension of encryption standards and methodologies desired
• SOAP experience helpful
• Knowledge of OAuth and/or SAML desired
• Nice to have - Junit, Jmeter & SOAPUI
