Sr. IT Consultant (Project Manager / Business Analyst)
Projects will be in the northeast from Maryland to Massachusettes area (projects in PA and NY as well) - occasional travel to the client site as needed
3+ month contract with likelihood to extend
Consulting background highly preferred

SUMMARY

Manage and document an array of projects across the IT infrastructure. However, there will be a focus on DR projects. Pursues cross functional operational efficiencies and issues resolution through process improvements and re-engineering of end-to-end processes. The improvement efforts will need to leverage existing common business systems and participate in the development and implementation of new information systems to meet identified functional gaps.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leads & documents process re-engineering and/or design, including gap assessments.
  • Provides cross-functional/cross-departmental facilitation and definition of process improvements to drive efficiencies and diagnose/resolve issues.
  • Works closely with the business to perform business process modeling and process re-engineering which could result in systems enhancements and/or process re-alignment.
  • Leads design sessions in support of prototyping new systems flows to match new business processes and work closely with technical leads, business analysts, and functional leads to document requirements and technical specifications.
  • Provides project team guidance in the definition through rollout of projects, service and activities to meet business requirements and objectives.
  • Communicates concisely, effort, progress, achievements, problems and failures on a timely basis and in accordance with service delivery framework processes.
  • Establishes and maintains a climate of trust and confidence with team members and business counterparts.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years' experience performing complex, large scale, process re-engineering efforts
  • 7+ years of leadership
  • 3+ years of consulting experience within various technical environments
  • Solid business analysis and project management skills
  • Working knowledge of the following areas:
  • data analysis, design, and documentation
  • project management
  • computer systems; hardware, networking, operating systems, and telecommunications
  • project management, risk management, security, cost management
  • Exceptional business process modeling and workflow analysis skills supporting supply chain, manufacturing and distribution industry
  • Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery and the documenting those processes/procedures
  • Strong functional expertise in systems used by the business units including functionality and their benefits e.g., enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Ability to work independently
