The Tidal Developer in Business Intelligence department will be responsible for development of Tidal
jobs for the Canada Marketing database project for automation. A primary focus of this role will be to
understand the dataflow from source to target, prepare Tidal runbook documents with the detailed
information of the Informatica and Teradata ETL jobs and dependencies between the jobs. Must
understand the ETL jobs developed by the developers and Marketing Campaigns jobs to establish
correct dependencies.
Will be dealing with all aspects of our end to end data processing. The emphasis is on scheduling jobs
correctly with proper dependencies and runbook document. Will participate in investigation, root cause
identification and remediation of affected data/processes in BI. Must have the ability to work
independently on the project and conduct walkthrough sessions with rest of the team for operation
readiness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work closely with BI architect and development teams to get better understanding of new BI
projects.
• Understand end-to-end data flow for all BI subject areas from the operation support
perspective.
• Create Tidal jobs and UNIX scripts to automate the executions of the jobs.
• Prepare and maintain runbook document with the detailed information of the jobs.
• Identify control points and provide controls requirement to Infogix team.
• Provide Tier2 support for all BI jobs.
• Present concise status to senior management.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent
education and experience
• 4+ years' experience in supporting a high-performance, cross-functional IT Data Operations
team in multiple locations and time zones

Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Teradata/Oracle, Informatica, UNIX and Tidal/Autosys is must
• Must have prior data analyst and control based data operations experience
• Excellent query writing skills and debugging failed Informatica workflows.
• Experience in Media & Entertainment industry a plus.
