Help Desk Analyst
6 months contract to hire

This position is with a leading service provider and integrator. The succesful analyst will initally provide remote and phone help desk support. This Analyst will eventually move into an onsite support and engineering role. Must be a proactive, driven, and client centric.

JOB SUMMARY
Answers and documents all help desk calls related to specific networking, application, or server support. Provides end-user support and excellent customer service. This is a Tier 1 / 2 level of support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Answers, documents, and provides end-user support for all help desk calls related to specific software applications, networking, and server support.
  • Ability to support users over the phone, remote in, or desk side.
  • Creates and terminates new users related to specific software applications.
  • Creates and updates user security access.
  • Monitors servers and users to ensure that the systems are operational.
  • Conducts system maintenance on network.
  • Escalate issues to appropriate Tier 3 engineers as needed.
  • Provide outstanding customer support and service skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • 4+ years of IT support experience
  • Ability to support both Windows and Mac environments
  • Basic networking support skills (LAN, WAN, VPN)
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Certifications such as: MCP, MCSA, MCSE, A+, N+, CCNA preferred
