Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and domain-savvy Business Analyst with deep expertise in financial servicesrisk management, and advanced SQL querying skills. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging business needs with technology solutions, supporting risk analytics, compliance, and reporting initiatives through detailed data analysis and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders in Risk, Compliance, and Finance to understand and document requirements.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis using complex SQL queries on large financial datasets to support decision-making and regulatory reporting.
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Support the design, development, and validation of risk models, stress testing frameworks, and exposure analysis tools.
  • Work closely with data engineers, developers, and QA teams to ensure proper implementation of business logic.
  • Generate and validate risk and compliance reports, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment (e.g., Basel III, CCAR, IFRS 9).
  • Act as a subject matter expert for data related to credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Drive data quality initiatives and identify areas for process and control improvements.
  • Support UAT, system integration, and post-implementation reviews.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, preferably in risk or regulatory domains.
  • Strong command of SQL, including writing complex joins, subqueries, analytical functions, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working with large datasets from relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with risk frameworks, capital adequacy, and regulatory compliance 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
