Job Overview: Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, Python, R, and various analytics platforms, with specific experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. The role involves working with large datasets to provide insights and support decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain SQL databases, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
· Implement robust data analysis models and algorithms using Python and R.
· Generate actionable insights from complex datasets to support P&C insurance operations.
· Design and create data reports and visualizations for stakeholders using analytics software.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
· Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all analytics endeavors.
· Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
· Collaborate with IT and data management teams to expand and enhance data collection and analytics capabilities.
· Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new data-related software and initiatives to support and enhance our existing systems.
· Document analytics processes, procedures, and results effectively to facilitate knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on the P&C insurance industry.
· Proficiency in SQL and experience with complex query development.
· Strong programming skills in Python and R.
· Experience with analytics and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
· Knowledge of P&C insurance principles, trends, and key metrics.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
· Advanced degree in a related field.
· Professional certifications related to data analytics or P&C insurance.
· Experience with machine learning techniques and predictive modeling.
· Familiarity with cloud-based data analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
