GCP Application Architect with AWS

  • As a GCP Architect you will play a crucial role in providing technical leadership and guidance for the successful execution of projects, with a primary focus on the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and other initiatives. You will work closely with internal Client domain architects, participate in project meetings, and engage with customers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with our approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight of end-to-end technical solutions for projects, including but not limited to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
  • Collaborate with Cleint domain architects (e.g., Business, App, Infra, Network, Security) to create and compile designs, documents, and other essential project artifacts.
  • Actively participate in internal IRM project meetings and engage in technical and project discussions with customers.
  • Apply TOGAF principles, particularly the Architecture Development Method (ADM), to guide solution development and alignment with Business, Application, Data, Infrastructure, Network, Security, Service Transition, and Change Management domains.
  • Create solution designs, starting from RFP and bid responses through to implementation, ensuring they meet the client's requirements and align with industry best practices.
  • Initially, work on solutions hosted on-premises (IRM Data Centre), with a focus on integrating cloud components (e.g., Tenable.io, Insight in AWS UK) as required.
  • Prepare for and adapt to future solutions, which may be entirely cloud-based, including but not limited to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a GCP Architect or similar role, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF principles, especially the ADM, is highly desirable.
  • Experience in creating and implementing solution designs from RFP/bid to implementation.
  • Knowledge of both on-premises and cloud-based solutions, with a preference for experience in GCP.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills and a proactive, "doer" mentality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications in GCP or other cloud platforms would be advantageous.
