Linux Engineer

Location: Remote *open to work PST hours*

Manage the infrastructure and systems that run Lending Club's business.
• Enforce Information Security policies and ensure the entire infrastructure meets industry security standards.• Deliver technical solutions to business problems.
• Troubleshoot various application/OS related performance/integration issues.
• Support various storage platform from AWS S3, EBS, VMAX, Nimble, Pure, AWS and Azure.
• Support security and compliance initiatives to include auditing for SOX/SOC/DLP/NIST requirements.
• Constantly build automation process/scripts to stabilize/reduce administrator tasks.
• Provide escalation support to high impact technical issues from Engineering.
• Drive resolution of issues identified via application and systems monitoring, as well as assigned tasks and incident tickets.
• Document processes, automation scripts, and infrastructure assets.
• Identify appropriate use of AWS architectural best practices.
• Engage and assist cross-company departments with technical computing requirements.
• Participate in the on-call rotation supporting the infrastructure.

Skills Required:
6+ years of experience with Infrastructure / OS Technologies.
• Expert level Linux Administrator.
• Expert level experience patching production Linux systems.
• Expert networking knowledge (packet analysis, DNS, Mail, Web, etc.)
• Expert level with Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Expert level experience with load balancers (f5)
• Experience in systems migration to AWS.
• Experience with Cisco UCS, VMware, VCenter, ESX, CloudStack or other HypervisorsMonitoring and logging experience in any of the following: Prometheus, Splunk, Syslog, OSSEC/Wazzuh, Nagios, Cloudwatch, ManageEngine
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead projects, excellent collaboration skills with other teams, scrum experience.
• Ability to drive root cause analysis and resolve incidents
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience, technical certifications and/or education.Preferred qualification Experience with ensuring systems meet Information Security requirements as well as producing documents and evidence for auditors• Linux patching experience
• Automation experience (Ansible, Salt, Jenkins, CloudStack, VMware, etc.)
• Experience in data encryption and file transfer technologies.
• Experience supporting databases and big data in Aurora, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Neo4j, or Hadoop.
• Experience with supporting Java and FEBE applications
