Location: New Jersey - Hybrid Duration: one Year 9+ years exp Job Responsibilities: Review and document defects against defined business rules and system requirements throughout the systems development life-cycle. Analyze complex situations and recommend solutions to the client. Attend daily stand-up meetings with the project team and provide detailed analysis when requested. Provide daily, month end and fiscal year end support to operations customers/users and system interface partners Perform testing of implementation scripts and actual implementation of software releases into production Use Oracle PL/SQL to create, modify, and maintain production scripts. Develop SQL queries for extracting data and performing requested analysis of data Monitor system performance and make recommendations for tuning PL/SQL code and Oracle database layer to improve performance. Skills: 9 + years of software development experience required. Strong working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and ability to write scripts to query databases Oracle 12c or higher Database administration/tuning skills would be very desirable Strong working knowledge of UNIX, UNIX shell scripting and crontab scheduling Experience with use of version control software. Specific experience with Subversion/Eclipse for software version control is desirable. SFTP File Transfer set-up knowledge Excellent interpersonal, consultative skills. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Self-motivation and ability to motivate others. Good problem-solving skills Strong working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies. Ability to follow complex instructions, work independently, or function in a team as needed. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for full product development life-cycle desired. Ability to prioritize, plan, organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
