The job description states it already but to expand on that, I am looking for someone with 5 -8 years of experience in model risk management (MRM) , ideally in model governance capacity which means model inventory, policies & procedures, understands regulation (e.g., SR 11-7) and has had some exposure to MRM as done at banks or insurance firms.
Nice to have: knowledge of AI/Client (machine learning) model risk management.

Description:
Provides expertise on model governance to shape programs and initiatives at the enterprise level that enable consistent use of model risk management best practices across all models used at Client including AI/Client models. Supports the advancement of model governance standards, policies, and processes. Develops strategies for model control standards, lifecycle management, inventory, assessment, and monitoring. Creates and develops model risk tiering methodologies, model risk appetite metrics, assists in preparing content for model risk reporting to senior management and presentations as needed.
Core Responsibilities/ Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics/ Statistics, Physics, Engineering) or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Master's degree preferred
  • 5-8 years of previous experience in model risk management (model governance, model inventory, model risk reporting, validation, etc.) in the Financial Services Industry is a mus t
  • Experience with Microsoft tools (Excel VBA, PowerPoint, Teams, Project Planner, etc.) required.
  • AI/Client modeling experience and managing risk of AI/Client models is a plus
  • Broad knowledge of risk management at financial institutions preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, diplomacy, and presentation skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of stakeholder teams
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is a plus
  • Knowledge of AWS Sagemaker, Domino or other ModelOps platforms is a plus
  • Knowledge of Tableau or other BI reporting tools is a plus
