The Department of Technology and Enterprise Business Solutions, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) seeks a highly skilled Oracle e-Business senior-level Human Capital Management (HCM) Functional Analyst who is experienced with all functions comprised within Oracle HCM. The analyst should be highly experienced in configuring and supporting an enterprise system that has a complex employee population and equally complex system with business rules that can be exception based.
Scope of Work:
This individual may be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Providing customer service and production support for various payroll processes, FMLA administration and compensation processes in Oracle EBS.;
  • Perform as the lead in troubleshooting and analyzing production issues, including documentation of the root cause and any configuration changes required to resolve;
  • Lead efforts for new implementations, enhancements and production support while adhering to rigid and, at times, aggressive timelines;
  • Analyze, document and test impact of required patches and any ERP and system initiatives on business processes and customizations;
  • Provide day-to-day hands-on support by bridging the gap between the business owners and the technical team and clearly articulating any issues or new/changing requirements needed;
  • Collaborate with core business partners to identify efficiencies in existing processes utilizing system configurations and automation;
  • Analyze prioritized issues using a variety of troubleshooting and analysis to investigate production issues, propose options for resolution, document findings and ultimately document and solution the issues in production;
  • Create service requests with Oracle and work with analysts, developers, DBAs and Oracle to resolution;
  • Participate and/or lead projects required as a result of new/changing initiatives or regulations;
  • Lead requirement gathering and documentation;
  • Lead and perform all phases of testing, execution and coordination of the validations between various functional and technical staff up to and including any resolution(s) required for discrepancies;
  • Responsible for driving resolution for prioritized issues (at times between more than one business area);
  • Coordinate any production migrations of functional and/or technical configurations ensuring proper audit protocols are followed;
  • Review patch releases and make recommendations on any system enhancements;
  • Develop desk procedures and documentation.
Skills/Experience Required Skills/experience preferred includes:
  • Requires both functional and technical understanding of the following Oracle modules: HCM, Payroll, Compensation Workbench and Absence Management;
  • Six years support and/or implementation of Oracle e-business R12 for payroll and compensation in a complex environment;
  • Two full lifecycle implementations of Oracle HCM as a functional lead;
  • Highly preferred experience in payroll and compensation to include: implementation, support, configuration, and prepare functional design and test cases,
  • Experience in a functional lead role for one or more of the following: Oracle Payroll, Compensation Workbench, Absence Management modules:
  • Experience in development of project timelines, plans, requirements, scope, and issue documentation;
  • Experience in collaborating with business owners to gather and document the requirements, functional specifications and system configurations;
  • Skilled in data analysis, design and redesign and configuration of production modules;
  • Experience in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) for reporting and using as a data mining tool
  • Experience working in an ERP environment that is highly integrated with multiple modules;
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Experience in business process redesign;
  • Experience in conducting analysis to determine any impacts to system configurations as a result of patches, upgrades, other module implementations and/or changes to configurations in other modules and business areas;
