JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Skill: Java
Role Description: The Application Tech lead would need to have at least 5 years of experience. For this role, you need to be a strong Java developer who has done development also in the past and has experience with Production support as well. Individual will be working in a production support role monitoring and troubleshooting multiple custom built Java applications hosted on AWS platform.
Since this is a client facing role, resource is expected to work on flexible timings if required.

Required Experience and Skills:
- Requires 5 years of related experience in hands on application development and production support
- Ideal candidate would have prior programming/development background.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Java 8,Restful web services, spring batch, Apache Tomcat, SQL, Springboot, Microservices, GIT
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in AWS platform
- Must be very hands on and ready to wear several hats - Technical Leader/Sr. Developer, L3 production Support.
- High level expertise in the implementation, support and troubleshooting of production environments.
- Solid debugging skills to troubleshoot functional and performance issues in the Java code.
- Responsible for support of a production application, including taking a root cause approach to problem solving
- Experience using for Incident/Problem Mgmt (like ServiceNow) and Application Performance monitoring tool like App Dynamics
- Advanced troubleshooting and deductive reasoning skills including thread and heap dump analysis
- Log analysis tool like Splunk is prefered.Experience writing complex Splunk queries
- Ability to converse in both technical and non-technical terms to both novice and more proficient system users.
