• Designing data warehouse tables (Dimension and Facts) logical and physical models • Data Modeling tools such as Erwin and/or Power Designer • Strong modeling background on multiple modeling approaches (relational, marts, data vault, Document, etc.) • Ability to work independently • Ability to analyze business ask to form model implementation • Ability to work on analyzing reference data needs • Insurance background, if possible, in not must be a fast learner • Designing Tables for OLTP systems (logical and physical models) • Experience writing SQL queries to analyze and profile data and database tools (e.g., Netezza, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Teradata). • Experience analyzing data for quality and integrity issues • Gathering and documenting business requirements and documenting Data Architecture issues • Enforcing Data Modeling standards and procedures • Experience working with very large data sets (preparing data and tables for presentation of analyses), independently and as part of a team. • Experience and in-depth understanding of relational database modelling and structures • Design and develop data transformation and loading processes for the population and ongoing management of the data models and architecture • Perform QC and verification of data according to specified criteria. Take the initiative in managing data problems / exceptions • Define and implement rules-based derived fields • Thoroughly document the data transformation processes used • Participate in cross-functional projects • Direct experience in preparing datasets for use in statistical and predictive modelling | ||||
