Work site: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) Contract Role Job Description: The Control M Administrator / Lead is responsible for end to end batch workload automation using BMC Control M, ensuring reliable, SLA driven execution of enterprise batch processes across distributed and mainframe platforms. The role combines hands on administration, job scheduling, incident/problem management, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities 1. Control M Administration Administer Control M Enterprise Manager, Server, and Agents across Windows and Linux/UNIX environments Install, upgrade, and patch Control M components (EM, Server, Agents, modules) Manage high availability, failover/failback, and DR activities Maintain multiple Control M environments (DEV, UAT, PROD) and datacenters Configure users, roles, security groups, and access levels 2. Job Scheduling & Workload Automation Design, create, modify, and deploy batch job flows using: Smart Folders Calendars Conditions & dependencies Quantitative and Control Resources Schedule OS, Database, SAP, Informatica, Java, MFT/AFT, and file watcher jobs Manage time zones, business calendars, and cutoff times Perform job promotions from DEV → UAT → PROD 3. Monitoring, Incident & Problem Management 24x7 monitoring of critical batch workflows and business processes Troubleshoot job failures, long running jobs, late runs, and connectivity issues Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and DB teams to restore services Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive fixes Handle Incidents, Service Requests, and Changes via ServiceNow / Remedy 4. Reporting, Governance & Documentation Generate daily/weekly/monthly batch health and SLA reports Maintain batch job documentation and runbooks Perform backups of Control M tables and configuration data Use Control M reporting, forecasting, and playback analysis features 5. Control M Lead / Team Responsibilities Act as technical lead for Control M operations and scheduling teams Review and approve job designs and production changes Mentor and train junior schedulers and administrators Plan Control M upgrades, migrations, and tool transitions (Autosys → Control M, DC migrations) Own customer communication, SLA adherence, and operational readiness Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills
