Network Administrator

Maintain and secure computing environments and customer locations by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, monitoring network performance
Establish network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; design router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols
Establish network environments by designing system configuration, directing system installation, and defining, documenting, maintaining, and enforcing system standards
Evaluate network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency; plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; define network policies and procedures; establish connections and firewalls
Secure networks by developing network access, control, and evaluation; establishing and enforcing policies; performing regular monitoring to identify security vulnerabilities and intrusions, and maintaining documentation
Develop and coordinate project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the customer organizations
Provide leadership in planning and implementation of projects for clients and enterprise systems administration
Work on-site at customer locations as appropriate
Maintain constant familiarity with and constantly abide by Procedure Directives
Maintain subscriptions to and timely review government security alerts
Builds lasting relationships with clients
Communicates technical details with technical staff and articulates business risks and benefits to business management
Evaluates customer environment according to established standards using template
Provides remote and on-site IT infrastructure and policy management and support to keep customer systems functioning and secure
Keeps management informed of customer environment status and issues on a daily basis
Anticipates and identifies potential customer IT related issues and works pro-actively to resolve
Trouble shoots and resolves network / systems-related issues in real time to minimize operational down time
Provides network / server administration and support for daily operations in Windows environments
Maintain and monitor backups for all MSP Clients
Microsoft Office365 migrations and administration
Deploy workstations, servers, printers, networking equipment, firewalls, and all host security applications
Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant), make recommendations, and execute them as required
Manage all operating systems and end-user software
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary
Collaborate effectively with staff and management
Other duties as assigned
