Position Summary
This position in the Information Technology organization will provide day-to-day project organization and leadership with a focus on acquisitions, third-party software implementations and software integration projects for the IT Enterprise Operations team.
Essential Job Functions
Provide day-to-day project management for ongoing acquisitions, third-party software implementations and software integration projects
Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
Provide and update detailed project plans for all task owners and stakeholders
Initiate and facilitate requirements gathering, risk assessments, testing plans and user acceptance for all projects
Assume ownership of all customer interactions with regards to project initiation and maintenance, utilize appropriate follow-through, and log all customer interactions
Monitor and report on project status to management, stakeholders and team
Assure projects progress while accomplishing their objectives, determining the cause of deviations from the plan, taking corrective actions to address any deviations
Coordinating activities while remaining neutral across different organizational functions
Collaborate with vendors engaged in project work; manage, monitor and evaluate their contributions to the project
Document all project related deliverables throughout entire software development lifecycle
Document problems, resolutions and lessons learned for future reference
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree or technical training in Computer Science, Information Systems Management and/or five (5) years of equivalent work experience preferred
ITIL, ITSM or PMP certifications preferred
Experience/Minimum Requirements
Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in project management within IT organization preferred
Minimum one (1) PM Certifications (CompTIA Project Plus, PMI, PMP)
Experience with electronic Project Management Software (PPM) preferred
