General Summary
  • Client is seeking an Project Coordinator with experience supporting Project Managers with coordination efforts for Information Technology (IT) Projects within the  ERP program.
  • Project Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with our Project Managers to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timelines and budgets for projects. They will perform various coordinating tasks to assist the Project Manager with schedule and risk management activities, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and schedules. The Project Coordinator may direct small to medium size projects under the supervision of a Project Manager. To succeed in this role, they should have excellent time management and communication skills, as they will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.
Responsibilities::
  • Assist Project Manager from inception to completion to ensure that projects are completed within the documented and approved Scope, Budget, Schedule and Quality
  • Responsible for ensuring that project artifacts are documented and updated with version control
  • Responsible for maintaining a project plan and providing weekly project reporting status updates
  • Assist Project Manager with obtaining feedback related to tasks assigned on the schedule
  • Coordinate meetings, meeting locations and document meeting minutes
  • Act as a point of contact as directed by the project manager
  • Follow documented Change Control procedures and processes
  • Proactively identify and document risk and mitigation approach
  • Oversee exceptions and unresolved issues and monitor progress by designated issue owners
  • Interact with internal departments on timely, accurate resolution to their IT question and the project objective
  • Keep all members of the team up-to-date with current information and paperwork
  • Communicate with team members to ensure optimal productivity and maximum efficiency
  • Follow Enterprise business and PMO processes from project inception to closure

  • Ability to effectively manage high stress scenarios and apply conflict resolution techniques
  • IT knowledge of application development and deployment, and network infrastructures desirable
  • Analytical and logical approach to problem solving
  • Motivated and ambitious, including ability to work under own initiative
Required Software Specific Skills:
Experience:
  • Project Coordinator or Jr. Project Manager experience (3 years)
  • Experience working with MS Project
  • Experience using MS SharePoint to manage project artifacts
  • Experience using MSOffice 2013, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for reporting
  • Experience on projects for ERP implementations desirable
Special Job Instructions:
Education:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma.
  • Bachelor's Degree or combination of equivalent experience and certifications in computer science or information systems.
  • PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) desirable.
