Description/Comment: JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • This position is in Enterprise Information Technology and focuses on the Middleware asset class.
  • Seeking a Business Systems Consultant with 7+ years of distributed technology experience, preferably in a large financial institution.

  1. Assist with generating and sustaining documentation (requirements, process flows, etc. for policy compliance for server (Middleware product) patching, baseline configuration and security vulnerabilities. Assess asset reporting and document inventory gaps from a product, installation and instance viewpoint.
  2. Ensuring clear, timely and accurate documents and processes such as: planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting on compliance.
  3. Create process documentation including process flows in swim lanes, metadata and control points.
  4. Follow-up for additional information, monitoring for progress, escalating delays, etc.
  5. Facilitate meetings – create agendas, document minutes, track action items and create/update reports and metrics.

Additional Job Details: REQUIRED EXPERTISE:
  1. COMPLIANCE & DATA MGMT: Experience in a distributed (server-based) environment generating technical and compliance reports along with demonstrated ability to translate technical information into business context.
  2. PROCESS: Knowledge and understanding of data and process analysis and mapping. Experience creating process flows (swim lanes) with aligned metadata and control points.
  3. REPORTING: Experience generating meaningful and actionable reporting, including progress tracking and analysis.
  4. TOOLING: Must have intermediate level skills in Excel (e.g. pivot tables), Word and sharepoint (list generation and maintenance).
  5. FOUNDATIONAL: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a rapidly changing, dynamic team environment.

  • Top candidates will have familiarity with Middleware products (e.g. WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache TomCat).

  • This position can be staffed at or near any of the listed locations.
  • Potential to work remotely based upon performance.

  • Note that this is not an application testing position, looking for individual that has experience listed in this job description in a distributed (server) environment.
  • Work will be variable and require professional judgment along with substantial direct interface to senior leadership, compliance professionals and engineering staff during USA business hours.
