In short we strive to provide optimal health across the lifespan for the populations we serve. The Nursing Division provides direct health services and systems level community care.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for application support and configuration of the Practice Management and Electronic Health Record (PM and EHR) system for the Division of Nursing.
Secondarily providing technical assistance for other miscellaneous applications used in the Nursing Division.
Duties include establish application data interface configurations and perform data exports required by outside agencies, customization of the application for the specific needs of nursing and administrative staff, and generation and analysis of data to meet the internal agency reporting requirements.
The CIS is responsible for providing technical expertise, facilitating solutions between nursing division staff and vendor and IT technical experts.
The CIS does the work to optimize the process of data entry, retrieval, and analysis for accurate and timely reporting of data and program outcomes through collaboration with the IT team, nursing staff, nursing leadership, and administrative leadership.

Requirements You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in information technology or healthcare informatics or related field.
  • Minimum of three years experience responsible for technical support and customization of Medical Billing and Electronic Health/Medical records applications including performing data extraction.
  • Must have ability to work independently to analyze and solve technical problems.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and quality of work performed.
  • Must have ability to learn new technologies and applications to support the Nursing Division providing guidance to determine optimal solutions and appropriate prioritization of tasks.
  • Effective documentation and communication skills to liaison between end-users, vendors, and department staff. This includes experience with documenting workflows for healthcare and then translating those workflows into requirements and implementation of a Practice Management and Electronic Health Record system.
  • Knowledge and experience with Windows based documentation, data collection and analysis system tools.
  • Ability to write SQL queries for data retrieval from Medical Billing and Electronic Health/Medical Records applications.
  • Valid Driver's License
