Software Systems Architect / Enterprise Architect

CPI is looking for an Enterprise Architect to support our client who has systems centers focused on research, development, test and evaluation for various systems. The work delivers complete life cycle development, from concept to fielded capability, and includes programs in navigation and applied sciences, integrated cyber operations, robotics and unmanned systems, modeling and simulation, and marine mammals. This is a 6-month Contract to Direct hire opportunity located in Virginia Beach, VA.  
The assignment is a US Government Contract which requires all applicants to be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to):

Working under the supervision of a government lead, performs a variety of tasks associated with developing architectural view-points.
  • Provides technical support to the Joint Staff with enterprise architecture development and analysis
  • Applying enterprise architecture processes and products to support strategic planning
  • Inform resource decision making
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
  • Establish and enforce standards
  • Guide security and cybersecurity requirements
  • Establish a foundation for transitioning from the existing environment to a desired joint information environment (JIE)
  • Develop enterprise architecture (EA) products that meet DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) specifications and include 'as-is,' 'to-be,' and transition planning DoDAF viewpoints
  • Products should leverage Federal Enterprise Architecture Reference Models, where appropriate.
  • Must be US Citizen and must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
  • 5+ years' experience developing and analyzing enterprise architecture process and products
  • 3+ years' experience working with or in Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • 3+ years' experience with the Business Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Transition Plan, Service Oriented Architecture, and the Business Mission Area Federation Strategy and Roadmap
  • Able to analyze and produce the full range of DoDAF viewpoints in response to customer tasking
  • Have an established knowledge of and experience in the use of Microsoft Office "Visio”
  • Have an established knowledge of and experience in the use of Unified Modeling Language (UML)
  • Must poses strong understanding of dataflows, interrelationships and state diagrams
  • Possess strong problem-solving skill set and the ability to learn new technologies quickly to meet dynamic, fast paced development cycles.
  • Up to 10% travel
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
