CPI is looking for a Telecomm Technician to support our client who has systems centers focused on research, development, test and evaluation for various systems. This is a 6month contract to hire opportunity with potential for growth located in Santa Ana, CA.

US CITIZENSHIP OR GREEN CARD REQUIREMENT:
The assignment is a US Government Contrac which requires all applicants to be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to):
The position will be setting the telephones on the desk, patch from wall to phone, changing handsets.
  • Installs, Troubleshoot, repairs and maintains telecommunication equipment
  • Monitors, dispatches, reroute tickets within ticketing system – current system is Service Now
  • Monitors and provides reports on system utilization
  • Trunking and port optimization
  • Responsible for gathering, maintaining switch database for pool locations
  • Provides and maintains support for Avaya Communication Manager
  • Provides hardware and software revision management support
  • Tests trunks and links Implements enterprise-wide project plans and/or modification as directed
  • Provides and keeps current detailed documentation of processes
  • Updates Inventory Database to reflect current system hardware/software levels (TET)
  • Provides MAC support to identified locations
  • Works on special projects as assigned by manager, assigns, dispatches, and monitors reported carrier tickets for the locations as required
  • Coordinate and schedule vendor preventive maintenance
  • Maintains onsite telephony inventory
 Requirements:
  • Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder and be able to Client a drug test, life scan and lifestyle interview
  • Must be able to drive to various campuses and have a clean DMV record
  • Minimum of at least 2 + years of telecom experience
  • Must be able to pass a drug test/ life scan and lifestyle interview
  • Must be available for overtime if requested
  • Must have prior experience in PC and MAC Support to identified locations
  • Some call center experience using a ticketing method - Service Now experience a plus
  • Possess strong problem-solving skill set and the ability to learn new technologies quickly to meet dynamic, fast paced development cycles
Education:
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years' experience.
