Microelectronics Test Technician - 2nd Shift

CPI is looking to hire a 2nd Shift Microelectronics Test Technician for our defense client's Scottsdale, AZ facility. This assignment is a U.S. Government Contract. Due to the work performed within our client’s facility, U.S. Citizenship is required.

The Microelectronics Test Technician will primarily perform testing on small microelectronic hardware (MCM / Hybrid assemblies). This technician will perform RF alignment on hybrid circuits, designed to operate between 8 to 60 GHz.  Prefer 3+ years of experience working with microelectronics hardware, including experience in MCM / Hybrid RF alignment and test.

NO SUBCONTRACT REQUIREMENT:

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire, but not required. Candidate must be capable of acquiring a Secret clearance within 12 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
 
Tasks would include:
  • Troubleshooting performance and functional technical issues
  • Setup manual tests when requested by test engineering
  • Test, align and troubleshoot hybrid circuits and MCM assemblies 

Candidate requires the following skills:
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift (typical hours are 2pm - 11pm)
  • Technical education in electronics
  • Has a good understanding of OHMs Law
  • Previous work experience with Die Probing and Microscopes
  • Experienced with using the following RF test equipment: Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, O-Scopes and Signal Generators
  • Has performed VSWR and Return loss measurements and understands their relationships
  • Able to interpret complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics and the necessary interfaces
  • Able to setup and run special tests (manual tests) for engineering
  • Able to work in a clean room environment and follow all rules and guidelines with hardware handling
  • Capable to perform problem troubleshooting and data analysis
  • Demonstrate skills to take the initiative to complete actions
  • Manage time effectively in order to support multiple projects throughout the work day
  • Work successfully with associates in other departments and understand cross-functional relationships.
