Software Engineer - SCI Clearance Required

CPI is looking to hire a Software Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity with our client located in Littleton, CO.  Our client has not only empowered their employees for the past 30 years to research and apply independent decision-making capabilities, but also allows their employees to focus on perception, planning, and control to create dependable products across its platform.
Department of Defense Top Secret/ SCI Clearance is required at time of hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to):
  • Be part of Special Programs as we partner with communities to navigate the ever-changing global landscape.
  • The chosen candidate will: - Be the primary interface with project leads and System Engineers for software architecture decisions. - Own multiple software engineering lifecycle activities, to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design (OOD), implementation, unit testing, integration testing, and delivery. - Support development of complex internal and external system interfaces. A software engineer on this team can expect the following: - A close working relationship with users.  The team is working on a number of R&D efforts that allow them to experiment with new technologies, concepts and identify ways to enhance their product. – You will be encouraged to identify and pursue new projects. 
  • Must be US Citizen and possess active Top Secret/SCI Clearance at time of hire.  
  • Must have at least 5 years of professional experience (3 years of professional experience with a related Master’s Degree)
  • Agile Java programming expertise & knowledge of Oracle or other relational databases
  • Demonstrated object-oriented programming experience
  • Configuration management expertise including software release tools/processes and management of data Knowledge of the UNIX and/or widows programming environment
  • UNIX shell scripting
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent.
