Quality Representative

Job Duties:
  • Identify tooling needs working with production personnel to procure and implement.
  • Seek and obtain quotes for tooling / fixturing design, build, and timely delivery of tooling.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives into the production process to increase efficiency, reduce cycle time, reduce defects, and eliminate waste.
  • Develop and implement mistake proofing solutions into the production process.
  • Develop and Maintain work instructions using HMSCapp System.
  • Identify, document, and resolve conformance issues utilizing the TipQA database.
  • Assist define task requirements for section personnel and provide on-the-job training to ensure capability to meet performance requirements.
  • Provide production support with day-to-day Quality / Test engineering activities.
  • Support new plant initiatives for teaming (Whole Systems Business Model, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma).
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management / Research, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • Students who are actively enrolled in a degree program and have completed a portion of degree specific requirements can be considered eligible for position.
  • Must have strong problem solving skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with computers and office applications.
  • Must be able to serve on a multi-disciplinary team, and manage multiple tasks to completion.
  • Must be able to work in a complex industrial environment which requires working on surfaces at various heights and in awkward and confined positions.
  • Must be able to lift, crawl, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb to work all aspects of within the industrial environment.
  • Must have strong computer skills and able to communicate with employees at all levels of the corporation, and able to conduct and lead professional business meetings.
  • Must be able to meet ASR requirements.
