System Engineer

The Sensor Integration Hardware Engineer position is responsible for electronics design, implementation, test, and support of new sensor-based components & subsystems.

  • Support concept to production H/W including requirements analysis, design, debug, test, and qualification
  • Design, Develop, and Test Display Electronics, Components, and Subsystems
  • Create detailed circuit board Specifications, ICD's, and test plans
  • Support component selection, procurement, and oversight of prototype hardware build
  • Create circuit board schematics, design circuit board assemblies, and create circuit board assembly layout
  • Support concurrent engineering reviews and Trade Studies
  • Develop Engineering Design Fixes, and Coordinate Solutions
  • Perform technology research, feasibility assessments, and detailed hardware design requirements definition
  • Develop concepts to support advanced technology initiatives, proposals, and demonstrators
  • Lead engineering teams in development of software that is safety certifiable under MIL-STD-882E and/or ISO-26262
  • Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred with a minimum of 10 years applicable experience. Fewer years will be required with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with real-time processing of sensor data
  • Experience with Analog and Digital Circuit Design, including PCB design
  • Experience with schematic entry and circuit board design tools (i.e. Mentor Graphics)
  • Experience with Single Board Computers and Microcontrollers
  • FPGA Design and Simulation, VHDL
  • Experience with Analog and Digital Video Circuits
  • Familiarity with Military Standards and Test Requirements
  • Proficient in MIL-STD-882E and ISO-26262 and/or other safety-related specifications
