Info Security Engineer - Contract

Lead security initiatives of the highest complexity and visibility levels. Work directly with project teams to install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot systems/procedures to solve complex problems, balancing business needs against potential risks. Ensures the safety of information system assets, protecting them for intentional, inadvertent access, modification or destruction.
  • Provide vision and strategy and lead a team of security professionals in developing, enhancing, and communicating information security policies, standards and procedures.
  • Directly work with project teams, business units and subsidiaries to remediate/identify current and future risks, and create/communicate preventative methodologies.
  • Recommend and implement changes to existing security policies and control standards to stay abreast of the threat landscape.
  • Develop, maintain and enforce corporate information security policies, standards and guidelines encompassing data and intellectual property security.
  • Formally and informally respond to customer and regulatory requests with regard to information security services, mechanisms and safeguards, including regular communications with regulatory, privacy and legal stakeholders and active participation in internal and external audit activities.
  • Build rapport, credibility and cohesion across all business, operational and technology teams.
  • Maintain strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, evidenced by the ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence.
  • Support the development of the Information Security strategy by forming relationships with businesses and technology areas to understand their associated risks and issues in order to influence security decision-making.
  • Actively champion and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Information Security Management (ISM) area.
  • Apply best practices using innovative ideas to increase awareness and effectiveness of the Security Management organization.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand and enhance knowledge of ISM area.Act as an SME for security issues.
  • Represent the organization in industry and standards groups related to security.
  • -Collaborate with stakeholders to determine the current and future level of enterprise investment required to sustain compliant and robust security standards.
  • Measure impact through budget management and forecasting.
  • Track, analyze and leverage control and release management vulnerability data.
  • Implement Identity and security requirements on AWS.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible.
  • Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for corporate Identity Management environment.
  • Serves as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.
  • Serves as the first line of escalation support for domain technology issues.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
  • Improve existing processes through automating solutions of recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
  • Manage customer satisfaction through effectively communicating and managing customer expectations 

Qualifications
  • Knowledge in administering Amazon Web Services (AWS) including rights management with delegation of fine grain permissions.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Identity Technologies Active Directory.
  • Expert knowledge in administering Active Directory (AD) and GPO's.
  • Expert knowledge of AD, PKI in Windows Server 2016.
  • Expert knowledge of DNS in a Windows 2016 landscape.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and its interaction with AD
  • Must have deep and thorough understanding of PowerShell.
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals.
  • Develops documents, and enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of Active Directory, and related systems.
  • Minimum 5 years overall IT experience with 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies including Active Directory, PowerShell and Group Policies.
  • At least 1 year of experience implementing Identity and security on AWS with VPC, IAM, Security Groups.
  • Must show a progressive advancement in responsibility including deep troubleshooting technical skills.
  • Must understand how to identify and instill industry best practices.
  • Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users.
  • Desired experience working in a fast-paced Financial environment with a career track record of engineering, developing, deploying, and maintaining business critical systems with technical expertise including hands on solution development and implementation experience.
  • Team Player with proven communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills. The role requires significant interaction with many different teams across a global company.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with a "can do” attitude capable of overcoming difficult challenges.
  • Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills
  • Ability to establish new standards for quality, performance or productivity
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills, strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, contractors and managers.
  • Able to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner
  • Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality
  • Perform an On-Call rotation to maintain Incident SLA's
