Data Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide solutions to complex problems aimed at achieving business outcomes
  • Design, implement and maintain data warehouse and data marts
  • Design, develop, test, implement and manage ETL processes
  • Oversee technical deliverables for projects through the software development life cycle, including validating the completeness of estimates, quality and accuracy of technical designs, and build and implementation plans
  • Surface and provide insights into risks and potential failures and drive to resolution
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience
  • Analyze and develop specifications for the enhancement, maintenance and problem solving for the most complex applications or operating system (s).
  • Provide in-depth consulting to IT management and staff at the highest technical level in the identification and resolution of an application or the overall operating system(s) problems or difficulties.
  • Analyze existing product and recommends modifications which will enhance operating capacity and meet business requirements.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to the staff in the installation and testing of new operating system releases and in fine-tuning of existing systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years working on Data Warehousing projects including design and development
  • 3+ years designing and developing ETL processes
  • Experience with databases (Vertica, Teradata, Sybase, Oracle, DB2)
  • Experience with reporting applications (OBIEE, Cognos, Tableau, Microstrategy)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Significant financial or retirement services background
  • Familiarity with data modeling tools
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS)
  • Experience with Agile terminologies and Agile Tools (e.g. Jira)
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity
  • College Degree
