Contract Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes designs and prepares business requirements for business operations and IT developers
  • Great communicator with ability to summarize complex technical topics for all stakeholders and varying levels of the organization.
  • Works closely with business teams to strategize solutions that support short and long term company objectives.
  • Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and Operations at the highest technical level through all phases of the system development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Works closely with business partners and IT management and staff to identify: application development solutions, new applications or modifications to existing programs, integration of purchased solutions or a combination there of and the appropriate software development methodology alternatives.
  • Responsible for facilitating business requirements gathering and translating into system requirements, when required.
  •  Clearly define systems work scope and objectives based on Business Requirements.
  •  Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective approach.
  • Work in and configure clinical systems such as Electronic Health Record, Patient Management systems, digital experience applications
  • Provide systems expertise to system users, business partners, and other internal/external customers including trouble shooting issues, as well as, identifying and correcting inefficiencies.
  •  Develops test strategies and plans for new applications or upgrades

Required Skills:
  • Project Management skills: ability to manage large or small projects independently and without oversight
  • Develop overarching project plans and managing plan in MS Project
  • Facilitate and gather requirements, perform business and gap analysis
  • Conduct interviews with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define and write business and operational requirements
  • Implementation of large system upgrades (patient management, billing or EMR)
  • Independently identify and develop solutions to solve issues, identify risks and mitigate them
  • Take initiative and seek out or ask for additional assignments when there is a lull in the active work
