Senior Business Analyst

Senior Business Analyst

  • Create business and Sales user resources and communication material for data related programs and initiatives and communicate program statuses.
  • Develop business requirements and provide support for technical specifications, as needed
  • Perform testing and provide business signoff
  • Work closely with customers, IT, and other CIMA partners to meet project objectives
  • Engage in operational readiness activities to ensure that project "go-live” is stable and successful
  • Perform QA functions to ensure project delivery is successful
  • Maintain breadth of knowledge on all product types and business processes.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of CIMA tools and data sources.
  • Responsible for delivery of medium to high complexity project work
  • Coordinate the development of new reports and portal content to ensure ongoing delivery of new communication and data program updates
  • Identify and facilitate process design changes and executes process improvement initiatives
Preferred experiences/skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare data (e.g., claims, eligibility, groupers, profiling, PBM, EMR), and demonstrated understanding of health care and delivery system processes
  • Demonstrated experience working independently with limited direction / guidance (i.e. start-up environment)
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, Hyperion, Tableau, Podium, Microsoft Access and metadata management requirements and solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development and development lifecycle methodologies and writing business requirement specifications, data release announcements and communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with teams across multiple organizations
  • Demonstrated experience working with various our client data sources and environments
  • Strong, clear, concise, and analytical written and oral communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills are a requirement for this position

  • Manage the synthesis of large data-sets into meaningful information used to drive action.
  • Determine opportunities and identify solutions to increase analytical processing efficiency.
  • Experience with regression & user acceptance testing.
  • Experience with Demand, Project and Scheduling Management solutions
  • Communicate analytical findings/gaps/solutions to management and offer solutions to meet gaps.
  • Communicate statuses, good and bad, to partners to keep them informed and engaged in the project, minimizing surprises
  • Communicate data exchange information policy requirements and specifications

  • Experience in working across organizations to coordinate new business solutions.
  • Critical thinker and doer
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS or CIS or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 6-10 years industry experience, focused in health data analytics, insurance and/or health improvement
  • HEDIS Experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma & Process Improvement Methodologies, Green or Black belt highly preferred
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Report and process automation experience
  • Insurance industry experience or certifications
