Our client in Holyoke, MA, a leader in the power management industry, is seeking a consultant to assist the IT Department as a Desktop Systems Compliance Analyst.

The Systems Compliance Analyst will plan, develop and conduct report reviews and assessments of information technology systems and access account objects, specifically for end-user system access, application access, and file system share access.

Additionally, they will:
Conduct system information repository data reviews for quality and accuracy.
Conduct reviews of access control data and authorization data reports for remediation and corrective action for the purposes of reducing risk and improving information assurance.
Draft procedural and process documentation.

The candidate should possess excellent verbal and written skills, be a self-starter, and be able to work with minimal direction.

This resource will be required for a minimum of 1 year but may extend beyond that period.

Responsibilities:
  • Review weekly, monthly and quarterly system and account object reports for comparison and remediation (Anti- virus, Account Management, Systems Inventory)
  • Report compliance inaccuracies for remediation
  • Review inventory system reports for accurate record keeping
  • Documentation of procedures, processes and current tasks (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly) processes
  • Review current processes for revision to process and procedures
  • Submit, change and close workflows using various technologies
  • Open, assign and close Service Desk tickets associated with remediation tasks
Qualifications:
  • Highly motivated individual with attention to detail; able to analyze varied volumes of data in minimal timeframes; identify trends and anomalies, using research techniques; and provide remediation feedback to management for corrective action.
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills with an attitude of perseverance.
  • Adapts well to rapidly changing priorities and workload.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain reporting and remediation findings clearly and concisely.
  • Able to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines and principal responsibilities.
  • Must have a technical understanding of the Linux server platforms, LDAP and local system user access, as well as SUDO and file system permissions.
  • Must be a proficient user of Linux
  • Intermediate understanding of the RHEL platform is preferred
  • Understanding of NERC CIP Standards/Requirements is preferred
  • Experience with the SigmaFlow compliance tool is preferred
  • Experience with the VMware vCM compliance tool is preferred
  • Prior experience in a Linux support role is preferred
  • Experience with Configuration management tools (Ansible, CFEngine, Puppet) preferred
  • Proficiency with Scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash) preferred
