The Project Manager at our client is involved in the coordination of design, development, implementation and maintenance of software and responsive web applications for our client International delivery organization.

This project manager will help establish and maintain a Center of Excellence in develivering our client product applications using the OutSystems platform.

The duties include project management tasks such as coordination with business analysts, technical architects, product managers, project manager, quality assurance manager and other roles to clarify requirements, ensure feasibility according to release schedules, and to communicate status with an overall goal of developing a high performing team.

This project manager is able to take-on the Scrum Master role within an Agile team and lead the release of major web-based components of our our client software.

 A successful candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent interpersonal communication skills. This individual must be able to reprioritize and reassign work as necessary to deliver critical functionality in time to meet our customers' needs while ensuring quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Serves as a key member in the software development lifecycle to maximize the utilization of development resources and to optimize the features in each release
  • Communicates with business/product owners, analysts, and technical teams to facilitate a clear understanding of business requirements and technical solutions
  • Assists with preparing development estimates to facilitate planning releases
  • Manages allocation and scheduling of development resources
  • Leads teams through design and delivery phases while providing technical leadership based on best practices, design patterns, and expertise
  • Institutes and enforces development policies, standards and procedures
  • Works with team members to proactively mitigate risk to ensure on-time releases with the required feature set
  • Aligns and reprioritizes the team to resolve production support issues
  • Implements and maintains build and release tools and process in support of application release management
  • Instill a commitment to quality while continuously looking for ways to make process improvements and instituting policies as necessary
  • Serves as a liaison to QA and IT departments, keeping them up to date on how the technology roadmap and feature releases impact other teams
  • Coordinates application performance/volume/stress testing to meet target customer volumes
  • Actively supports/drives all talent review and assessment for both full time and contract resources including succession planning and annual ratings process
  • Keeps current with the latest technologies and industry best practices

Technical Environment:
  • Web-based and service based software

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience including 6+ years in technology with a minimum of three years in a project management role for software applications
  • Experience with one ore more Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, consultative, communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Understanding of web technologies (Web Services, CSS, XML, Angular, etc.) is a plus
  • Prior experience in the healthcare or benefits administration marketplace is a plus
