Headquartered in Philadelphia, Our Client connects lenders, homebuyers, investors and loan servicers using a suite of private mortgage insurance and related risk management products and services. We help promote and preserve the tradition of homeownership while protecting lenders from default-related losses on residential first mortgages.

The Business Intelligence (BI) Architect proactively participates in designing, developing and evolving high quality, extensible BI solutions to meet business demand for information. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of analysis and report development including technical requirements, data modeling, design and delivery of advanced dashboards and analytics to facilitate operational, portfolio and financial reporting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Transition and enhancement of existing enterprise reporting and analytics from legacy applications to the corporate business intelligence solution, MicroStrategy.                    
  • Design, development and integration of BI solutions to complex reporting and analytical processes for internal and externally facing applications.  
  • Design and implement data management solutions to maximize performance and accessibility to information through BI tools.         
  • Implement and enforce semantic layer/metadata standards in collaboration with Data Architect.                      
  • Other duties as requested.                    
Job Specifications:
  •  5 – 10 years of BI/DW experience
  • Familiarity with development methodologies
  • 5+ years experience and a deep technical knowledge with MicroStrategy 10.7 Developer 
  • 3+ years experience and a technical knowledge with MicroStrategy Administration
  • 3+ years experience with Visual Insights
  • Experience with MicroStrategy 10.7 Cubes
  • Experience using source control software such as TFS
  • Experience using defect tracking software such as Rally
  • Strong PL/SQL development experience with the ability to write complex and nested SQL queries
  • Senior level skills in building Reports, Dashboards, and Scorecards using MicroStrategy 10.7 
Skills and Abilities:
  •  Develop and maintain reports using MicroStrategy 10.7 Reports,  Documents, and Dashboards 
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and apply data visualization best practices
  • Define and document the setup and configuration parameters
  • Define and follow MicroStrategy 10.7 development best practices
  • Design and implement reporting solution architecture
  • Design and implement analytic solutions
  • Create data models, table structures, and views to support reporting requirements
  • Create and maintain MicroStrategy 10.7 projects using best practices
  • Provide subject matter expertise in MicroStrategy 10.7 solution architecture
  • Provide system support for the MicroStrategy environment (for both the development and production environments)
  • Manage report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules and distribution
  • Coordinating with Software Testers and Release Management to integrate the final work product into the production environment by creating deployment files
Other Position Parameters:
  • Microsoft Sql Server 2012 and 2014
  • Clear, logical, and effective verbal/written communication skills.
  • Clearly demonstrated sense of urgency and bias for action.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and independently.
  • Ability to forge strong working relationships at senior levels.
Prior Work Experience and Education:
  • 10 to 15 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required with concentration in Computer Science or related field preferred
