Our Parks and Destinations group specializes in serving consumers; recreational and entertainment needs in national and state parks, zoos, aquariums, science centers, museums and other day-use cultural attractions.

Position Summary:
Responsible for maintaining and setting up all Audio Visual equipment through out the building. In addition, the AV Technician will respond to request for assistance when problems arise with any piece of AV equipment. Stays abreast of the latest technology in the AV area.

Essential Functions:
  • Deliver and sets up all AV equipment each day for the different training and business classes; insuring that the equipment is functioning properly.
  • Responds to any request for changes or additions in AV equipment.
  • Greets each instructor or presenter answering any questions they may have on how to operator their AV equipment.
  • Responds to any problems with AV equipment, resolving the problems as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Monitors the condition of the AV equipment making sure that it is kept in the best possible condition.
  • Recommends new or additional equipment that would help the Center better service it's guests.
  • Conducts monthly inventories of the AV equipment.
  • Maintains accurate accurate record of usage of equipment by customers and conveys that information into daily invoicing system or to the Audio Visual Manager. Delivers invoices to the Audio Visual manager for record keeping.
  • Maintains daily work schedule throughout workday by monitoring adjustments to A/V equipment in customer meeting rooms.
  • Ensures that emergency procedures are understood so that in the event of an emergency the procedures are executed with accuracy in a timely fashion.
  • Ensures that safety procedures are understood and followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Status and Scope:
Working with the Conference Service Manager and Conference Planners to ensure that the AV equipment at the Center is operating at peak efficiency. Attend continuing education classes during the year in order to stay up to date on the lates AV equipment.

  • At least 3 years experience in the Audio Visual industry.
  • College Degree preferred

Walkie Talkie, Computer, Sound Systems, Video Projectors, Smart Carts, Slide Projectors, VCRs & Monitors, Video Conferencing, Tele-Conferencing, Smart Boards, Overheads & Fax Machines

Travel Requirements: Little or No Travel (>10%)

Lifting Requirements:
Medium - Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
