Job Description:

MANDATORY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (SEC 2.9 Security Systems Engineer)
  • Expert in Network Security monitoring
  • Experience Working with Firewalls - Check Point Firewall-1, Cisco PIX/ASA, and Juniper JUNOS are preferred, but not limited to) in multiple operating system environments.
  • Experience working with IP networking, networking protocols and understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPSec, PKI, VPNs, Firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists (ACL).
  • Thorough understanding of network protocols, network devices (Routers and Switches), security devices (IPS/IDS), network security monitoring systems (ArcSight, Cisco MARS, etc.), network security architecture, and system administration in support of security forensics and operations.
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Role & Responsibilities
The Security Engineer will be responsible for
  • implementation, operations, and maintenance of information security interfaces in complex security systems and applications; evaluates Internet-wide security threats in relation to internal systems;
  • communicates potential information security exploits to other security operations entities;
  • develops and maintains automated information technology security monitoring and reporting mechanisms; develops and maintains various network security control systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection/protection systems, wireless networks, remote access, proxy servers, anti-virus solutions, and network account access;
  • analyze log files, and report breaches including potential solutions;
  • provides 24x7 tier-3 support to Network Operations personnel in troubleshooting and resolving network security issues;
  • maintain network documentation.
Skill and Experience
  • Experience in networking technology, host, data and/or application and hardware security platforms (Check Point Firewall-1, Cisco PIX/ASA, and Juniper JUNOS are preferred, but not limited to) in multiple operating system environments.
  • Experience working with IP networking, networking protocols and understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPSec, PKI, VPNs, Firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists (ACL).
  • Thorough understanding of network protocols, network devices (Routers and Switches), security devices (IPS/IDS), network security monitoring systems (ArcSight, Cisco MARS, etc.), network security architecture, and system administration in support of security forensics and operations.
  • Exposure to Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, IT forensics and security related testing is desirable.
  • Forescout Network Admission Control (NAC)
  • FireEye Email Security and Web Malware Protection systems
Education Level Required:
Engineering Graduate Or Relevant Experience.
