Location- Phoenix, AZ
 
Development and validation of BIOS and bootloader firmware features for Cable/Telco/Retail gateway platforms.
Daily job responsibilities include:

Design, develop and validate bootloader features for existing and upcoming family of SoCs/platforms 

Close collaboration with silicon design and validation teams in all phases of software development of BIOS 

Booloader bring up during the power-on phase on new SoCs and future steppings 

Identifies, analyzes and resolves bootloader issues in a support of product sustaining efforts 

Works with customer support team in releasing the necessary documentation collateral that goes with BIOS release for both internal validation teams and external customers
Willing to make short international trips based on requirements 
 
Qualifications
 Education Requirements:
Masters of Science in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of industry experience or Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of industry experience.
 
Qualifications: 
Proven firmware/bootloader/driver development experience in C or assembly 
Working knowledge of UEFI, boot flow, ACPI, platform security features 
Proficiency in developing the software within embedded linux environment
