Compensation Consultant

Position Purpose
Provide support on compensation programs to Avanade North America (NA), Global Market Units (GMU) and Corporate Functions (CF) organizations. Support Avanade global rewards team on projects with a global scale 

Position Responsibilities

-Support the administration of direct compensation programs (executive, exempt, and nonexempt cash compensation programs) including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions taken on employees
-Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures.
-Recommend/implement plan revisions as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and company objectives
-Provide advice to HR Directors/Generalists on pay decisions, policy, and guideline interpretation and job evaluation including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs
-Develop techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting compensation data to Management and the Board of Directors
-Supervise the participation in and conduct of both exempt and nonexempt salary surveys to ensure that corporate compensation objectives are achieved
-Keep up-to-date on federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure company compliance
-Manage projects such as program design, analysis, budgeting, implementation of new programs, survey participation and analysis, compensation integration for mergers and acquisitions, and etc.
-Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
-Work with ITS staff to ensure that the PeopleSoft system meets compensation needs and is updated to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, etc.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge
Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience working collaboratively and within virtual teams and influencing others;
- Sound knowledge of NA compensation and benefits regulations and market trends, including job classification under the U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA);
 - Strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills;
 - Strong ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
 - Excellent English skills (orally and in writing);
 - Good business acumen and demonstrated experience working directly with top management;
 - Strong MS Office expertise; specifically, must be an expert user with Excel;
- Demonstrated success in a dynamic, frequently changing and geographically and culturally diverse environment;

Minimum years of experience : 3

Minimum level of education 

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or Psychology. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also suffice
