Job Summary

This position will provide the primary Lean facilitation and training for the site. It will manage the Lean and Continuous Improvement process. Position will be responsible for the support the development of Client System Production  (tools, training and metrics). Coordinate the lean training, lean development, and lean activities of all personnel (salaried and hourly). Facilitate continuous improvement through use of all tools available (Value Stream Maps, TPS, 5S, TPM, SMED, Standard work, etc.). Develop standard work for lean conversion (process flow, best practices, and lesson learned). Participate in special projects in support of develop / promoting Client's Production System.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leads plant wide Lean initiative. Makes measureable improvements within the plant using lean tools and methodology
  • Plan, execution, communication of plant key process indicators through the use of Hoshin Kanri.
  • Lead, facilitate and manage improvement projects including small group activities (SGA) and kaizens for measureable improvement in safety, quality and productivity .
  • Design and implementation of lean within the plant in order to achieve significant and sustained improvements through the use of value stream mapping, SMED, kaizen, Total Predictive Maintenance, overall equipment effectiveness, Kanban implementation, Visual Controls, Single piece flow, line layout capability and other tools.
  • Participate in special projects in support of develop / promoting Client Production System
  • Promote, educate and implement a culture of waste identification and elimination throughout the organization
  • Participate in Lean Best Practices and facilities.
  • Manage improvement of cycle times, production efficiencies, cost and throughput increases in all manufacturing and business processes.
  • Provide direction and oversight to the Informational flow process.

Job Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Three to Five years experience working with Lean and Continuous improvement tools
  • Formal training in Lean/Six Sigma tools a plus
  • Experience in manufacturing required.
  • Self-motivated, independent worker. Excellent time-management skills.
  • Excellent problem solving ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to influence others.
  • Presentation and training/facilitation skills and experience
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient with MS Office and statistical software
  • Strict adherence to Company safety policies and procedures
  • Must have strong leadership skills, with the ability to recognize and solve problems affecting production.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
